Wendy Beth-Elizabeth Welles-Shapiro

I believe in the power of stories to bring world peace. I believe in the power of stories to heal, uplift, create, and enliven life all around us. Whether on stage, on the page, or in the quiet spaces between what was and what will be, storytelling is a bridge connecting us to each other, to the unseen, to the mystical, and to deeper truths within.

For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to the mystery of words—their vibrancy, poetry, movement, and rhythm. The way they hold sorrow and joy, the way they soften pain or spark wonder. As an artist, writer, and speaker, I’ve shared stories across theaters, television, film, and radio, guiding others into the landscapes of their own hearts.

My journey has taken me from New York to Los Angeles, to Japan, Nepal, Europe, and from meditation retreats in India to sacred circles of shared wisdom.

Through it all, I’ve found that creativity and healing often walk hand in hand, that one's vision and voice can open doorways, and that the depth of our love is never lost—it simply changes form.

Whether through writing, storytelling, meditation, or creative and sacred exploration, my work is dedicated to compassionate connection and universal peace, to inspiring others to find their paths for harmonious creative self-expression, and the boundless possibilities that miracles can hold.

From one-woman shows that celebrate wisdom and humor, while acknowledging sorrow and loss, beauty, and joy, to books and teachings on rest, journal writing, well-being, and creativity, I honor the stories that shape us, holding space for healing, connection, and love.

When sacred landscapes are welcomed into our lives, individually and in community with a sense of belonging, we enhance our vision and voices. We deepen the connection in our own heart, to each other, and the Creator Mystical Divine, however we perceive that to be. These elements, dancing together, contribute to a more peaceful walk on Earth and among the stars.

Even when the path is unclear or when we are overwhelmed by worry, anxiety, grief, or fear, love and beauty still exist. And by leaning into love and appreciating moments of beauty, we can create bridges and touch the miraculous, for ourselves and with each other. There is always a story waiting to be told. I would love to hear yours.

An author I love ...

An author whose work I love is Anais Nin. From her Diary 1939-1944:

This is my essential reason for writing, not for fame, not to be celebrated after death, but to heighten and create life all around me... I also write because when I am writing, I reach the high moment of fusion sought by the mystics, the poets, the lovers, a sense of communion with the universe.

I resonate and feel the same.
